Call+Response: "i hear you, i get you, and here's what im gunan do about it"

so tonight i went to see a documentary called Call+Response and it’s about sex trafficking and human trafficking. it was really a downer but it was a really good movie, and i honestly suggest that you watch it.

i downloaded an app that they made with apple called Free2Work, and its an app that tells you different companies “grades” on how their products are produced, its an A-F scale like school, and an A is that they use no slaves or anything and an F is that they do. and you can scroll through a list of the companies and look at an overview of their grade and what not and its really ridiculous. suprisingly nike and addidas had like B’s but like Godiva Chocolate had a D-. theres also a way to like look up something that your looking at in a store to see how it was produced, but i havent figured that out yet.

the movie really put everything into perspective and they showed you footage from all these different brothels and things and it made me feel sick. its a 32 billion dollar industry which i think is absolutely ridiculous and its the second largest criminal industry in the world.

it made me happy that matisyahu was in it because i love him haha and his music. the film was a compilation of alot of different things. they included all these different artists like, matisyahu, switchfoot, imogen heap, natasha bedingfeild, and other ones i dont remember, but these artists who are aware of everythign going on and others who have went and seen it first hand, and agreed to be in this movie that was like “a concert to free slaves”. and also interviews with people like journalists and authors who have written about sex trafficling and human trafficking.

if you’re interested, which you should be, honestly lol but go to this website to learn more about it—-> http://www.callandresponse.com/
