Costa Rica was absolutely amazing!  We stayed in a small beach town, Santa Teresa.  The roads weren’t paved so traveling was slow and it was hot and dusty, but it was a beautiful area.  The week went by so fast and we had a great time.  We hiked through Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve, ziplined through the jungles in Montezuma, swam in Montezuma Falls, played in the ocean, ate lots of yummy food, and enjoyed many drinks at a bar on the beach. 

We hiked the entire trail that runs through Cabo Blanco.  Made it all the way to Cabo Blanco beach, which was absolutely beautiful, and saw a family of monkeys along the way.  It was so cool to see the monkeys in the wild and running right in front of us.  The hike took 4 hours total and we came unprepared without much water so towards the end we thought we were going to die, but it was still a pretty awesome experience.  The zipline was so much fun and I loved every minute of swinging through the jungle!  We stopped at Montezuma Falls and jumped in for a quick swim.  The ocean was amazing and the waves were unlike anything I have ever seen…they just kept rolling in one right after the next.  It was easy to see why surfers come from all around the world to surf at this beach.  The trip was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. It was so nice to have no agenda, no responsibilities, and plenty of free time.  I napped when I wanted, read for fun, and relaxed by the pool/on the beach. 

Definitely the best Spring Break I’ve ever had!  I sure hope to make it back to Costa Rica for another vacation sometime in the future!
