Today at my school, (Morrisville High School) an African American dude asked me this question. I simply gave him the answer, ” I think white guys are attractive. It’s not like I CHOOSE to be attracted to white guys. It’s just there, and it’s something I can’t explain.” His response was, ” Well I don’t see why. But then again, you speak white, act white, dress white, talk to white people, all your friends are white. So maybe you wanna be white. ” I held in all my anger because when people say this shit to me, I’m ready to slap all of their teeth out. So I responded simply ” are you jealous? & for your information,I do not ONLY like white guys. I like any race or ethnicity. I won’t pass judgement on you based on the color of your skin. I like white, black, Asian, Spanish anything. If I can picture myself with you, and you are for the betterment of me, then and only then will I date you. If your asking for my preference, i like white guys, Filipinos or any Pacific islander, and Spanish/mixed guys.” Am I allowed to have a preference? YES. Does that make me racist? No. Does it mean that I “wanna be white” No. I love my mixed ancestry and my mixed background and all the cultures.

Was I wrong in even responding to him, or was he just plain ignorant. You decide.
