He had every right to mock her. She braced herself against it. But instead, as they headed up to the floor with walls made of gold, he grabbed her hand and smiled at her. There would be no more Adam. There would be no more pretty boys. Because she had the Doctor. And that's all she could possibly want.

My mom got a call from my grandfather saying that my grandmother's Alzheimers has reached the final stage, and it's time to put her away

I thought I made peace with it a while ago. But I guess I didn’t because I feel heavier somehow today. I guess the next couple months is going to be comprised of me hugging my mom more than usual and praying I don’t get that call from my dad one day.
