Sign up to find more cool stuff to followI’m sorry, but Snow’s actions can’t be justified to me. I could easily excuse her for killing Cora if she did it herself. But, no. She coaxed Regina into putting Cora’s heart back into her body, by using the one thing Regina has wanted her whole life, and let Regina kill her own mother.
If Snow was the one to kill Cora in order to protect her family, I would be defending her like the rest of you. But I can’t, and won’t, defend her when she pulled a stunt like this.
I love Snow. I do. She’s one of the few I admire on the show, and I will continue to admire her after this I’m sure. But this is one action I can’t let slide and it made my respect drop for her character. She may have been protecting her family, but she didn’t have to do it that way.
And she knew herself that she did it wrong, that’s why she reacted the way she did; that’s why she tried to stop it. So, I’ll give her that, that at least she realized her mistake and tried to stop it. But it was too little too late, and it was something that shouldn’t of happened in the first place.
I guess it’s true, not all good characters are fully good; and not all bad characters are fully bad.
[[If another ship war is about to happen….I’m bouncing T_T I have nothing against opinions. I sat through EdWin Day and RoyEd Day and both days my dash was cluttered, but I never complain because it was nice to see things from a different view as people embraced their OTPs. <3 I like them both, so of course I’m not gonna bash anyone’s opinion or ship. Can’t we all just love each other, regardless of what we ship? Cause I do!]]
Dear Teen Wolf fanfiction community (at large),
Yes, Stiles appears to have moderate to severe ADD or ADHD. Yes, he has at least joked about taking Adderall. Yes, Adderall is used to treat ADD/ADHD (and narcolepsy). Yes, Adderall is a stimulant. Yes, you can overdose on it, or take it in sufficient quantities to replicate the effects of crack/speed/meth/whatever you want to call it.
However.
If you HAVE ADD/ADHD, that stimulating factor? Does not compute. (warning for over simplified SIGH-ENSSSS ahead) Adderall doesn’t act like speed would, if you need it - it ‘merely’ helps you focus, doesn’t give the ADD/ADHD brain noticeably more energy - if taken in the right dosage, of course. Taking more than the recommended dosage, with the exceptions of OBVIOUS overdosing, usually won’t provide overtly excess energy/’speed-addict-like’ behavior, just a sort of ‘boost’ that’ll fade. The right dosage can (and probably will) make the person more talkative, make them seem like they’re morescatter-brained than usual, but what that means is that the person is more able to finish thoughts through to their conclusion and has reached the stage where they think other people should know what they’re thinking - something EVERY human does. MEANING, what the Adderall does is help the ADD/ADHD brain focus enough to allow it to ‘remain interested’ (if you will) in finishing a thought in order that the thought may be completed and then released.
Also, it doesn’t take effect immediately. Average kick-in time for Adderall, at the right dosage, is somewhere between ten minutes and a half hour. If you don’t need it, that time’s less - between five and fifteen minutes - but, hey, not talking about substance abuse here.
My point is: we’ll take canon for granted and say yes, Stiles needs Adderall. But the fact remains that he can’t take it in the middle of a conversation to make things clearer, he can’t take it to make his depression go away (because it DOESN’T do that), and on the occasions that he does take too much of it, the likelihood of him taking enough, at one time, to overdose, is very, very small. Stiles is impulsive, but he’s smart. He’s impulsive, but he’s not an idiot. If he has a prescription that would allow him to alter the dosage he gives himself (to any extent), in order to overdose he’d have to take (I’m guessing) anywhere from two to three more pills at a time - which is kind of a waste, if you need them, and if you did you’d know that, and having wasted them can make you anxious as hell and worried because what if I’ll need those for finals or something. So all the jokes about Adderall included in the fic is getting old, because seriously -seriously - the faulty quasi-logic behind this trope is starting to strangle itself.
Then again, I could just be getting frustrated because my own ADD and the issues I’m having keeping that in check is making me all over-sensitive. /boooooo
Exasperatedly yours,
a little ADD puppy
You know, I never really understood why it’s the “bad boy” character or the “pessimistic” character that gets all the love or gets all the fans, while the “optimistic” characters or the “energetic” characters are deemed to be annoying and hated characters.
I mean, don’t get me wrong, people have opinions, and each character has a story to tell. I just never understood why it’s always the serious guy or the cold guy or the sadistic guy that gets all the love, while characters that keep a positive outlook in life are getting all the hate.
Seriously, has anyone even CONSIDERED that the energetic characters could be in fact the most damaged characters?

Why Rachel Kiley is made of glitter & rainbows
The reasons why I love Rachel Kiley, and she’s perfect for writing about Lydia, is that she’s real, she doesn’t disney-fy the story but gives it realism
Seriously guys, Darcy may be “oh soo perfect” but he doesn’t exist, he’s a figment of the imagination of an awesome writer who lived 200 years ago.
So give her credit for writing about characters that aren’t real, but that these things could happen to
