It's amazing, the kind of global market we live in, especially when it comes to music.

For example, whenever I introduce myself as Jennifer-From-The-Bronx, everyone says, “Oh! Jenny from the Block!”

You think I’m kidding, but I’m not. 

So far, people from Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Nigeria, France, Australia, Scotland, England, Singapore, Italy, South Africa, and Canada have all let it be known that oh yes, They know Jennifer Lopez, that Puerto Rican from New York. And oh yes, they believe that I’ve never heard this reference before.

And oh yes, I most definitely have.

Our game of cat and mouse

I am ever your humble mouse

She was smiling with mischief

Bewitching eyes locked on mine

I move across the room to her

I see my suitcase on the floor

My clothes still in the dressers

I take her in my arms and kiss her

The most meaningful I can muster

She breaks the hold and smiles

Driving the knife through my ribs

Clean cut, missed all the bones

I feel my heart start to panic

“Sorry dear, got a better offer,”

She says oh so casually

I lean in close to her ear and whisper

“I was dead the moment I met you,

It was only a question of when…

When you’d finally be the death of me…”

She walks out slowly with my suitcase

I bleed out on the floor
