“How can women contribute to Indian Real estate?”
—This question was answered by Ms. Gretchen Faber at the recently concluded NAR India 3rd Annual Convention. She said that only way is by women lending a helping hand to other women. She was happy to say that around 57% realtors in the NAR group are women. The association offers a chance to arrange leadership trainings, share best practices across table and so on. The rate of involvement of women in Real estate is increasingly positive and growing and there is no ceiling for women’s growth and income.
Women are in every possible field today and Real Estate is no exception. Universally the eternal dual forces of Male & Female, Shiv & Shakti, Yin & Yang are to be in harmony if we are to live healthy happy lives. Business and professional life is no different and businesses world over have only learnt to evolve and improve with a woman’s fine touch. Even though women have contributed to economic productivity since the dawn of history, women in business is still a more modern phenomenon of women participating in the traditionally male work roles of industrial manufacturing, finance, corporate ownership and real estate. While they already hold significant and diverse roles such as shareholders and investors, managers, community leaders, executive officers & board members, women are hitherto an untapped source of talent, experience and senior-management leadership. Companies that have women on their boards generate value to companies by broadening market vision, enhancing board dynamics, inspiring female stockholders and improving corporate reputation. Increasingly, business women seeking career advancement take advantage of the coaching and mentoring offered by other successful women. Successful women pitch a message of empowerment for other aspiring women. We at NAR India recognize this and are interviewing women Realtors in a bid to inspire and educate other aspiring women into the Real Estate industry. Stay tuned..
