When it comes to this video, all the captions I’ve seen say
We’ve always been big fans-oh fucking bullshit
But am I the only person who heard “we’ve always been big fans of fucking bullshit?”
I know that it really has nothing to do with it but

Idek it’s 4 am and I’m feelsy.
Larry is the biggest load of bullshit - or what Louis could have meant that fatal day
So I don’t think I need to remind any of you of the (in)famous tweet from last September on Louis’ twitter (which I really believe was tweeted by Louis, because how can you be so stupid to think PR professionals would have flipped like this and cursed and sweared and everything?)
Moving on, I actually agree in a way with Louis about Larry Stylinson being bullshit, and here’s what Louis could have meant by saying this. He might not have mean that his and Harry’s relationship is bullshit. He might have just pointed out the term Larry Stylinson as an abstract concept is completely rubbish.
I know most people won’t have the faintest idea of what I mean, so let me be a bit clearer.
“Larry Stylinson” doesn’t mean anything in itself, because it’s a concept with no actual definition, because no one seems to agree with each other on what this really is.
To put it more simply: “Larry Stylinson” as a concept is a fucking mess, an absolute blur that has no signifigance in itself.
There are people that believe that Larry Stylinson is a bromance, others that think it’s a romance. There are people that fight over whether Louis’ top or bottom. There are people that think they’re dating, others that say they’ve broken up. There are people that write fanfictions about them being involved in pedophilia and incest. There are those that like Eleanor, others that despise her. There are those that silently reblog pictures and others that tell people who don’t agree with them to kill themselves. There are those that overanalyse, those that say Eleanor is actually a Terminator with three versions of herself.
Well, you see my point. No one really knows what “Larry Stylinson” means, because there are just disputed definitions..
Larry Stylinson is a unorganised pile of contradictory convictions people try to shove down others’ throat.
Larry Stylinson isn’t Harry and Louis’ relationship, it’s what resulted from their relationship once the fandom had taken it away from them and twisted it into what they think their relationship is, by shipping it as a romance, as a bromance, by starting rumours based on unconfirmed facts, by sparking off wars between believers and non-believers, between who tops and who bottoms, between who is right and who isn’t, between who’s clever and who’s stupid, between what’s legit and what’s not.
Larry Stylinson doesn’t belong to Louis and Harry, it belongs to the fandom, and if I were Louis and Harry, I would think it’s a load of bullshit because no one knows exactly what it is and that just this little fact makes it irrelevant to discussions.
If I loved someone, I would rather define my relationship to them according to my own terms rather than those of a hysterical fandom.
So yeah, if you look at it from a certain angle, Larry Stylinson is the biggest load of bullshit because it’s a notion that fans made up and bend according to their own contradictory and various beliefs.
It doesn’t mean Louis’ and Harry’s relationship is a load of bullshit, though. Just that the Larry fandom is. What Louis meant could have been “just leave us the fuck alone and stop harassing us, because whatever it is we have, it is only our business, and it’s not up you to take it away from us and fight over what we mean to each other.”
And yeah, I am a Larry shipper. Except the way I define myself isn’t “Larry is real, deal with it” but “I believe Louis and Harry are in love, but if they’re happy separately, I’m okay with this too.”
And I do believe Louis and Eleanor are actually friends at the very least (because as I said, I don’t think you could even pretend to date someone for more than a whole year and not at least appreciate them) and even though she kind of pissed me off in the beginning, she grew on me during the Haylor period (don’t even get me started on Taylor Swift) and you have to admit that her taste in fashion is great.
Then if you want to hate on me, have a go, I always enjoy having constructive debates on the issue. But please, be constructive. I might have to doubt your intelligence if you just come with insults.
And you should go and follow him because I would never have had the guts to post anything about what I think if I hadn’t talked to him first. Thanks, love (yes, I’m calling you love now.)
#tagging this a bit everywhere because I’m not sure where it belongs #of course people will still say Louis meant that he’s not in love with Harry #I tried the philosophical approach #it’s okay, i’m going back to college in ten days time and I won’t have time to spam your dash anymore
