Darren sat on the edge of the bed rubbing his temples. He had went and checked on the twins twice and he had no clue what they were crying over. He had changed their diapers, fed them, even sang to them but they wouldn’t settle down. Both Eva and Ezra were good babies, they rarely cried just because they could. Everyone know that, and yet he couldn’t get them to stop crying. Chris was out like a light and he had no idea how on earth he was able to sleep through the loud cries of the twins. He took a deep breath willing himself not to break down and cry himself as he went into their nursery.
He picked up Eva who was clinging to her Llama as she clawed his shirt with big alligator tears. He rocked her “It’s okay sweetheart, Papa is here, he just needs to figure out what’s wrong with his baby girl” he whispered and felt her head, feeling she was a little warmer than normal. He went to the cabinet and gave her some children’s Tylenol “Let’s hope that helps you baby” he whispered walking back into the room where Evan was screaming as well, causing Eva to start crying again. He took a deep breath and turned up the monitor to get Chris’ attention. “Babe I need you to help me please” he said into the receiver hoping she heard him.
