Featured PFW 2011 Designer: Bryce Black

Inspired by his love of wearable art and avant-garde fashion, Bryce Black creates clothing that melds high art and street wear into garments that are also easy to wear.
His garments have appeared on the covers of magazines. Originally from Twin Falls, Idaho, he graduated from Art Institute of Portland and was the first winner of Portland Sewing’s Fashion Forward Program. As the winner, he designed the Fall 2010 line for StudioSKB.

Bryce Black will debut “An Avant Garde Introduction” at Portland Fashion Week on Saturday, October 8 alongside fellow Project Runway alum, Jay Sario and Michael Costello.

So Idk if anyone agrees, but I think these two people look like cody carson in ways and i just had to say something lol
so this first guy (if anyone watches one life to live and likes set it off they would agree more just because they see how he acts) this is rex balsom from one life to live, and he may not look exactly like cody carson, but in some way his facial expressions remind me of him EVERY time i see the show:

and this second guy is from the new season of project runway, and he also doesnt look exactly like cody carson, but he looks like a nerdy version with a slightly bigger head lol

Fade to Light; A Retrospect

With a line wrapped around the Crystal Ballroom on a Wednesday night, I felt more like I was going to a sold out concert than a fashion show while waiting in line to enter Elizabeth Mollo’s “Fade to Light”. Inside, it felt like the amalgamation of the two.
Here’s some of the standout looks of the evening:
Studio SKB showed casual chic in a muted color palette:

[ Love the whimsical take on the pocketed skirt trend ]

Studio SKB by Bryce Black‘scollection evoked relaxed 70’s glam and demonstrated a knack for proportions

Ms. Wood for the Urban Warrior

Clair Vintage Inspired; carefully chosen prints in adorable shapes

[ retro perfection; i have never wanted to be a sexy parisian housewife more ]

Chicago Harper represented for the men

solestruck; what I call “birthday shoes”; so exceptional you’ll revolve your whole look around a pair

Mollo’s already booked Fade to Light pt. deux, scheduled for February 27, 2013. Stay tuned!
