Brooken: Part 2 "Well That Escalated Quickly"

Unable to believe she had been cast as Derry, Brooke silently walked to the art room. There was no one in the art room, so she started to doodle on a piece of paper. On the paper, a form began to come to life. Could it be Dave Strider? Someone who wasn’t educated on Homestuck couldn’t have known what she loved to draw. She started to lose herself in a trance of Homestuck therapy…

“Hey Brooke,” Ken startled Brooke. She slowly, nervously, sexily, looked up through her rarely mascaraed eyelashes to the man standing above her.

“Hey Ken. Good job on getting Carl!” She coughed out. He sensually licked his lips, oblivious to the fact that she couldn’t contain her bodily urges to just steal him away forever.

“You too! I mean… on getting Derry not Carl, ah you know what I mean,” He stuttered out. Brooke blushed and dropped her pencil on the ground and stuttered incomprehensible gibberish. They both reached for her kawaii pencil, as it had sushi on it, and they bumped heads.

They slowly looked up into each other’s eyes, much like before and were lost again. Brooke inhaled deeply, bringing close his sweet vanilla scent, and he did the same, but hers was a flowery pleasure. He closed his eyes, and she did as well, and suddenly something magical started happening…gravity from each other brought them closer, and closer and closer.

Brooken: Part 1

She walked in the room…wondering how she even got there. Her hair was red, used to be bright blue. She was seemingly quiet and withdrawn, but when someone got to know her, she was quite the jokester. Now, she took another step to an empty desk. Her art teacher took roll and handed out an assignment. While the students read the paper, the art teacher talked about the drama club, as she was the sponsor for the club.

“This is a really good opportunity to meet new people and honestly it’ll look wonderful on college applications, especially if you want to get into an artsy school. We’re also looking for crew members, tech, and people willing to help build the set. We can use your artistic skills!”

As Brooke made the decision that would begin her imminent destiny, another boy made the same decision: to go to the drama meeting.

When Brooke arrived there, she filled out the necessary papers to help paint a mural that was a necessary prop for the show. As she looked up from her hands she caught the eye of Ken. The two locked eyes for many moments that to Brooke, felt like luscious hours. Secretly, he enjoyed the seconds he spent caught in her blue eyes. Brooke and Ken could have spent days locked in each other’s gazes, but they had been interrupted by the posting of the cast. There was a buzz to the room, excitement from everyone.

The two walked slowly to the crowd, and when they got there they realized fate had played a part in their lives. Earlier that day, Brooke’s application had gotten switched with someone else’s, someone who had auditioned for the female lead part. The show was a total hippie creation, written by some college students, so it was sure to be risqué.

Posted on the wall, for the male lead: Ken was cast as Carl, which wasn’t surprising as he was gorgeous, and a talented actor. And since fate had played a very important role that day already, fate decided to finish the job. Under the female lead, Brooke had been cast as Derry.
