i like how in america you have rows and rows of

because in england we have rows and rows of

i think the look we were going for was “crushing depression” complimented by “there is no hope” with just a hint of “you’re going to stare at the same mouldy boxes until you die in one of them so i hope you like brick”
- America: We gained independence... lets celebrate by having fireworks!!
- Britain: Some people tried to blow up our Houses of Parliament with gunpowder... Let's celebrate the fact that they failed by throwing dummies dressed up like him onto a bonfire whilst having a fireworks display and singing rhymes...
People who think the UK education system is easier to get As in just because the % levels are so much lower
You seriously haven’t considered the fact that we:
- possibly get marked more harshly
- get given 1/2 marks rather than whole marks in many exams
- grading and exams are different depending what kind of exams your doing and where you are
- our final marks are based off curves of people’s grades, so what constitutes as an A fluctuates each year depending on the level of difficulty of the exam
I’d greatly appreciate it if you’d please stop assuming school is super duper easy over here purely because we ‘only’ need 70% to get an A. I genuinly don’t remember a time where I got much more than 70 - 75% since I hit 16. We do actually have to work pretty hard to get good marks. Just like you.
