This post is now diamonds. Both of my parents are teachers and I feel the exact same way about how teachers are often represented in things and just dk;gsoeithh6r feelings.
Ugh for real though. And like, I even had a teacher who disliked me and tried to fail me on purpose? (My dad had been the reason she’d been fired from her other job. |D) But like….for the most part I really loved teachers and they really liked me and they’re honestly quite often fantastic people. I just get so annoyed with people who complain about teachers all the time and they “don’t like you” and blah blah blah well great I’ve had teachers that didn’t like me, either, but whatever their jobs are FUCKING HARD and I would hate some of my students too if I were forced to teach a bunch of ungrateful assholes all day. Jesus.
I feel the same way about cops because my mom worked at the Austin DPS for over a decade, and a lot of people my age are constantly bitching about how cops are always “out to get them” and are a bunch of ~*~pigs~*~ and all that and I’m always like “I love cops :B” Even when I got pulled over and my car got towed, I still like cops because they DO THEIR JOBS and they are REALLY CRAPPY JOBS TBQH GIVE THE BITCHES A BREAK. (For the record they weren’t out of line or anything - I’d been going the wrong way on 290 because I’m an awful driver with no sense of direction and the street was empty so I didn’t realize it WAS 290 and yeah. I DON’T DRIVE ANYMORE, JUST IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING XDDD)
