Issac smiled, quickly getting changed into his swim things, grabbing a towel, hanging it around neck. He slipped his phone into his bag, heading off to the beach. It was fairly nice - clear water, clean sand. He sat his things down, setting his towel out, laying down as he waited for the other girl to arrive.

I moved all the
furniture around
my room; I found
a bobby pin under
my desk — I think
I threw it down there
the day he broke
my heart
safely tucked under
my mattress were
pages torn out of
my journal—
“he is never
going to love you”
“your mother has
fucked you up for
good”
“he would feel well
between my thighs”
I ripped them as
quickly as they were
read —
my lips are chapped
and I’m dizzy with
despair
I wish you were here
to hold me; but I know
I would just crumble
