Paws padded along the concrete side walk of the busy park, sharp, yellow eyes darting back and forth and with a twitch of her long tail, the Tabby hopped up onto a bench. This peculiar cat seemed more human than any other stray cat. She was prim and proper. She sat tall, her tail wrapping around in front of her as she kept her eyes watching. For who?
“No, don’t touch the kitty, Alex,” chided a young mother to her small son who pulled away as they passed by Minerva. The woman tugged him back to her, “It probably will bite you if you do.”
The Tabby made a noise that sounded close to a snort of insult and she twitched her tail as she glared at the muggle, sending her and the toddler scurrying away.
‘Do I look like I’d bite?’ Minerva thought sourly and loosened her presence by laying down and letting her tail flicker lightly back and forth.
