Finished Eleanor & Park! Love. Just love. I will be buying this one eventually.

I need to bring it back to the library tomorrow so someone else can read it and fall in love.

Today I found a shelf full of Terry Pratchett books in a book store and I hugged them.

Literally spread out my arms and hugged the shelf.

The store employee rounded the corner and stared at me awkwardly for a moment before nodding at me respectfully.

It was a good moment.

I went to a debut author panel last night at a local library, my oldest child came with me. We had so much fun, John Corey Whaley* who is seriously adorable and funny hosted it, the panelist were all fun (and, local, so I expect to see them again) and there was a table full of books to give away so I got a new book.

Totally geeked out when one of the panelists recommended Eleanor & Park as a must read, because it is amazing. Read it.

So yeah I had a great time and listening to just published our about to be published authors advice and stories is a good thing.

True story about me fan girling, a local YA author came to knit night. I’ve met her before and even invited her myself but when she actually showed up. Omg. So about six rows after she walks in I look at what I’m working on and realize one row is crooked and there is a hole. I went backwards. Always count on me to be a dork y’all.

*also, read his book, Where Things Come Back, it won awards and it is that good.

This YouTube channel.  I love it.

I’m not spamming.  It just makes me drool rainbows.  I’m simply spreading the love.

Anyone have any book recommendations they’d like to send my way? I’d appreciate it!
