Loved seeing all of your Flourless Pizza pictures on facebook and instagram! Doesn’t it taste unreal?!! Keep it comin! For those of you who haven’t tried yet, I COMMAND you to make it this weekend!
Alrighty guys. You know how I wrote about gaining weight the past few months since the move? Well, it’s time to change that progression and reverse it. Summer’s right around the corner and I wanna ramp up my workouts, clean up my diet even more, and ultimately lose some of that extra stress fat! It’s not about trying to “be skinny” - it’s about getting my fire revved up! About finding that passion to kill burpees like a madwoman! About being super dialed in. As a result, weight loss will come, but I won’t let vanity be my goal. It’s too shallow to push you through a tough day. You’ve got to find a deeper goal within.
So guess what?
For the month of June, we are going to do it together.
I will be tracking my progress for you to see. Instagramming sweaty pics and clean meals to motivate you.
But you know what? I’m gonna kick it up a notch and take you by the hand with me, because I know that we need to share our success every step of the way. I’m not gonna let you just read my blog and watch me work. No. You will work too. I will make sure of it.
Because I’m gonna make you put your money on it.
No really I’m making you. I’m making you bet that you will lose weight this month. In fact, I’m making you put down $25 that you will lose 4% of you weight in 28 days beginning June 3rd, 2013.
Yes. That’s not too crazy! In fact, it’s very healthy. For someone who is 100 lbs, you will need to lose 4 lbs (1 lb a week). For someone who is 200 lbs, you will need to lose 8 lbs (2 lbs a week). Of course, only join the challenge if you WANT to lose fat. I do, so I’m asking anyone else who does to join me too. Is your heart beating? Are you scared?
You’re going to have all the support you need! POPsters from all around the world! I’m using DietBet to organize the weight loss party for us. Basically what will happen is that you join now, put in your $25 bet, and the official weigh-in commences on June 1st, 2013. Stragglers can join up to June 3rd when the game begins for everyone. Also, for anyone that joins between now and the start of the game, I will send 10 random POP Pilates DVDs out to help give you the tools you need to succeed!
Then on July 1st, 2013, we do a final weigh in. At that point, if you have lost for example, 5 lbs, you get your your $25 back PLUS any money in the pot that’s left in there from people who didn’t meet their expected weight loss. So if 1000 people bet $25 that they’d lose weight, we’d have $25,000 in the pot. Say 50% of you make your goal (or exceed it!!!) then we have $25,000 to split between 500 of us, meaning everyone gets back $50 when you originally had bet $25!
The way I look at it is like this. It’s not really a bet because we’re not leaving it up to the diet gods to determine your fate. YOU actually have all the tools you need to make this happen. All you have to do is put in your time and your genuine desire to succeed. And…you have me! I’m doing it too!
If you go to Dietbet.com/Blogilates, you will find that I’ve already invited some of my close friends and family into the game. A lot of people have been complaining about how low energy they’ve been feeling and how they don’t feel confident about their bodies, so I thought it’d be cool to make a huge fitness fiesta out of it! And now I am personally inviting you to take part in it :)
Also, for those of you worried about people knowing how much you weigh, your pics, etc…you have the choice to make everything private. Or you can share it with the community. The point is the let our POPster friends from everywhere motivate one another. We will be training hard, we will be eating on point, and we will be seeing results.
I even asked my lovely mommy to do this with me as she’s always down on herself about her body. At first she kept saying “No, no, no! I don’t like gambling! I’m gonna lose money!” I said, “Mommy!!! It’s not gambling because you have the POWER to create your own destiny.” We argued for about 30 min and she kept saying no. I was like, “Look, if you keep saying you’re gonna lose $, you’re basically BETTING against your chance to succeed. You’re betting that you’re going to continue eating food that you know is bad for you and you’re betting that you’re not going to exercise. Why would you do that?” She paused. There was silence. Finally…
…she said okay.
And for those of you who want to actually lose weight, c’mon, let’s do this!!! You have the power to make the changes you wanna see. If not now, and with me and thousands of other motivated people…then when?
I will also be pairing the DietBet party with our June Calendar (who’s excited for it?) so there will be routines planned for quicker fat burn. And for anyone who isn’t looking to lose weight, don’t worry, I’ll still be here with new workouts every Monday and new recipes every Thursday on YouTube.com/Blogilates.
Also, for anyone doing this, I want you to remember that this isn’t for making $ or being dictated by the number on the scale. The scale is just simply a means of tracking progress. In fact, if we all had a body fat % machine at home, or someone to caliper us all, I’d much prefer that so we can track fat loss not just weight loss. But the truth is, we don’t all have an expensive tracker at home, so we will use a scale instead. As long as you go into with the right mindset, you will have healthy thoughts along the journey. Also, the fitness and weight loss journey is not an easy one. I will let you know first hand. But you can learn to love the hard work and then cherish your hard-earned results.

so many of you have been inspired to start eating better and having a healthier lifestyle, and you’ve already all seen my dieting tips
but dieting alone will not result in a successful weight loss journey, so these workout videos would be really useful
i’d like to just talk about
cassey is a cheerful and bubbly pilates/fitness instructor, and all her workout videos are absolutely wonderful (feel da burn)
following these workouts for a few days definitely makes a big difference. it feels good both mentally and physically so i highly recommend just getting a yoga mat out and doing a few of these workouts!
