I used to listen to this song at least three, four times a day. Still love it to bits and it will forever hold a special place in my heart. The girl singing is using a technique called “kulning” which was used to communicate over far distances (between farms and such, it’s extremely loud if done properly) and collecting cattle. The animals responded to the call. I’ve seen it used when my grandparents and my great-grandmother still had animals. I think it’s beautiful.
