I Finally Have A Project For This Summer...
While helping my mother clean out our basement I found this very old, dark navy blue blazer that belongs to my grandmother. It had the most massive shoulder pads and is a larger size. I decided (with my grandmother’s permission) to work on it to fit and make it fashionable again. So far I managed to take out the shoulder pads (which were sewn into the actual blazer). Now I just have to cinch the back in order for it to fit me properly. My vision for it would be to bunch the back to and give it a few pleats. Then replace the dark purple buttons for gold military style buttons for a better pop of colour. Luckily, buttons like those can easily be found in a thrift store. The only hard bit would be pleating the material since I have no idea how to do that (I can probably find something on the internet). So we shall see how this goes. If it goes well maybe I continue doing projects like this. Reviving the old and making them chic and wearable. Wish me luck!
