This has been on my chest for sometime now...

Why are black men so quick to denounce black women? Understandably you’ve came across some angry black women who fit the stereotype of the diva, hood, ignorant and loud woman that the white media continuously glamorize, but not every black woman is like that. Not every black woman is out there advocating for feminism in ignorance, not every black woman is hooked on labels, not every black woman twerks and goes to the club half naked every weekend, not every black woman replaces home cooked meals and cleanings with take out or maid service, not every black woman speaks solely in ebonics, not every black woman uses BET as a qualified news outlet, and not every black woman wants to emasculate you. There are black women out there who want more. Black women who are secure in their God given skin and who are proud to identify with their race. I am black and I am proud. I will not alter my physical or mental self to appease you. I will not lower my standards to attract you, neither will I disrespect myself for you. Black women have goals. Black women do pursue higher education. Black women do want respect. Black women do want to express themselves without be judge. Black women do want the support and love from men of their own race. Black women do want to hear that their midnight complexion all the way down to the caramel sand complexion that they’ve been blessed with is beautiful. Black women can love, black women do love. No she is not too black to be your wife. No her hair is not too kinky. No she is not too loud. No she is not too expressive of the black culture. No she is not too accepting of herself. She is strong, she is black and she is proud. Black men you too are black. You were developed, nurtured and loved from the womb of a black woman. Don’t live your life in ignorance, try to open your eyes. WTFU.

MY BLACK MAN

I WILL SUPPORT YOU TO THE ENDS OF THIS EARTH

I WILL BELIEVE IN YOU

I WILL LOVE YOU

I WILL CARE FOR YOU

I WANT TO BE YOUR BEST FRIEND

I WANT TO BE YOUR LOVER

I WANT TO BE YOURS

THE ONLY THING IS

YOU GOTTA BE WILLING TO DO THE SAME FOR ME

“Here was the logic behind our grandmother's old saying, 'A nigga man aint shit.' It was shorthand for 'The black man has learned to hate himself and to hate you even more. Be careful. He will hurt you.' ”

This jawn is everything right now..lyrics are on point! Saaaaaaang it Key..lol :o)

“As far as I'm concerned, a if a Black man and woman make a marriage work in amerika, they've accomplished a miracle. Because everything is against them. Just being poor is one of their biggest obstacles. Most of the arguments are about money. It's hard as hell to be loving and caring when you can't pay the bills and you don't know where the next dollar is coming from. And the way that we're brought up to think adds insult to injury. It's changing a little bit now, but when i was growing up, every white man on television was able to support his family with no particular strain. There was no need for his wife to work. Her job was to stay at home with the kids. Black people accepted those roles even though they had very little to do with reality of their own existence and survival.”

The only thing stronger then a black man, is the black woman that supports him unconditionally.

Together: this is a absolutely powerful, strong and beautiful dynamic.

“As a race we have to do a better job of showcasing our love for each other. This means that as Black men, we need to make sure that we verbally express our love and appreciation for our sistas and display it through our actions. For Black women, this means that you have to trust and believe that there are good brothas in this world and you cannot generalize us all as being unsupportive and unloving. If we work together, we can rebuild what society has been trying to take away from us….healthy Black love.”
