Picking up where his last release Quiet State left off, Lacey appears to be more willing to let his vocals take center stage in his music —- which can act as a departure with anyone familiar with his older material that bordered on the fringe of more ambient drone music.  On Plantation, Arrange has constructed a full-bodied LP that accentuates the visceral and raw sincerity that Lacey has pour out through his vocals and music.

There is a vulnerable timidness to his music that feels like it is constantly the edge of breaking free.  It’s soul music for anyone who has a soul.   It’s bedroom pop if your bedroom was smack dab in the middle of a cavernous, abandoned warehouse.
