Thren and Andie Storyverse [1] - Base Lore Rundown, and Sal
Condensed: life, death, monster boyfriends/girlfriends, supernatural/urban to high fantasy, dysfunctional family dynamics, witches/wizards, lovecraftian romantic comedy.
Obviously that’s a very very weird mashup, or if not weird, too vague to go off of; so let me go into further detail.
It’s more like an overall universe than one single stories. Think a lot of stories placed within the same settings!
Anyways, as you might have noticed, a lot of these characters are dead. For simplicity’s sake, for right now we’ll focus on the realms of the dead, Somberland [think Heaven; real life, with most of the assholes and the issues of money/scarcity, weeded out] and Hell [biblical torture, then eternal modern-day /capitalist dog-eat-dog torturous lifestyle].
When people die:
- they are sent to Purgatory. Think a courthouse mixed with a filing office. Here, they’re determined to be fit for Somberland or Hell
-> those who are good become ghosts and are given artificial bodies in Somberland
-> those who are evil go to Hell where they serve punishment and once they serve their time they
—-> maintain their identity and become a demon and live on the surface of Hell, where they have to earn money to not be in gruesome hunger
—->lose their identity and become spirits, which are flaws and hindrances that people face [alcoholism, disease, gluttony, etc]
ALRIGHT THAT’S ENOUGH BASIC LORE HAVE A CHARACTER:

This is Sal; she’s an unrelenting bibliophile, as well as an innocent (if not painfully oblivious sometimes). She’s said to have read The Necronomicon and been unscathed, insisting it was ‘a great read if a little confusing’.
She’s a ghost, but moved to Hell to be with, and take care of, her life partner, an archdemon named RED who is illiterate and saved her from her abusive cousin. She is steadily teaching him how to read. They have one daughter, and they both live quietly in a cottage. They have an odd relationship with RED’s extended family, the Darbys.

They’re made out of foam board, cocking, leather, and paint. I beveled the edges down with an air sander. (:Just out of curiosity, what are the swords made of?
I should totally try and make them out of balsa wood next time.
