And officially my favorite so far. XD It’s called The Lay of Thrym. Thrym, a giant, steals and hides Thor’s hammer, Mjollnir, 3 miles into the earth. He requests Freyja’s hand in marriage for it’s return, obviously Freyja isn’t too pleased with this plan so Heimdall suggests that Thor goes disguised as Freyja in bridal attire. Loki goes with as a bridsmaid to retrieve Mjollnir. While in disguise at the feast Thor eats an entire ox, 8 salmon as well as other foods set aside for ‘freyja’ and has three horns of mead…. GOOD LORD, THOR. ACT LIKE A LADY. DAYUM! Loki explains this by saying “Frejya has not eaten these past 8 nights, so wild was her desire for her wedding night.” Also the dress only goes to his knees? So… you’d think Thrym would have noticed something amiss there…
