Overall I’m not a huge fan of Median, but this particular song is fuckin’ phenomenal. The lyrics are beautifully profound and the instrumental is truly magnificent. 9th Wonder has a plethora of exceptionally soulful beats, but this is easily one of his best. Visionary is also one of my favorite songs to blaze to. It’s been on my “songs to smoke to” playlist longer than just about any other song on there.

So Alive is my favorite song off of Blueprint’s outstanding 2011 album Adventures In Counter Culture. I saw him perform pretty much the whole album live last year on 4/20. It was quite a show. Blueprint randomly had a guitarist playing with him that must’ve been 6’6” and 300 lbs and had extremely long hippy hair, which made for an amusing hip-hop combo. Not to mention DJ Abilities was on the scratch…some truly sick shit. —————————————————————————
