Good story, good art but nothing too exciting, just pushing the story along. I’m sure the book that its leading to would be better.
Batman Beyond Unlimited #5
*Terry is still fighting the Joker king & it’s nice that he chooses now to have a long internal monologue about if he wants to still be Batman.
* Microns origin, who cares.
* Superman vs Lobo, this story is kind of interesting if you’re a superman fan.
This book is pretty boring
Batman Incorperated #7
Chaotic and confusing, seems to be a really good story. Batman’s crew are dying, Leviathan & Talia are throwing out all new threats at Batman and Damian is growing more & more interesting.
Ozymandias #5
Just another lead up to the original, I much preferred the more personal stories rather than just a prequel but still not the worst Before Watchmen has brought out.
Dollar Bill #1
The worst that Before Watchmen has brought out. The least interesting and most obvious character suddenly needs a story. When they should be bringing out stories to prove all the haters of Before Watchmen wrong, instead they bring out this rubbish to prove them all right.
So I caved and picked up Batman Incorporated #8 today
Well Damn. That was so bad that I ‘m not worried at all. Nobody will follow suit, people will keep Damian alive.
While I wont argue that Damian did his job well, in fact, he saves the world, but the death is so.. poorly done. I was really expecting that with all the hype surrounding it, it would have at least done this dirty dreadful deed in a meaningful way. Nope. He fights his clone for /two/ pages. then he’s dead. then Batman is holding him. THE END, HERE, READ SOME PREVIEW OF A COMIC YOU DONT CARE ABOUT. :D
Seriouly though, what really irks me about the whole thing is didnt it occur to anyone ’hey, lets not kill this little kid randomly and violently because Sandyhook legit JUST happened’
Im not comparing Dami to those poor kids. My heart and wishes still go out to them and their families.
I get he’s a fictional character. I’m just saying that it’s a pretty shitty move all the same.
Seriously though, I havent been this grief stricken over a character death since Dumbledore. Even if I dont consider Damian’s death cannon now.
