One of the most amazing moments of my life: being so close to this juvenile humpback whale, in Bermuda, that I was literally leaning over the railings of the boat and looking straight down at it.
There was no stress, no following: they actually turned the engine off at a distance from this juvenile & mother pair, and they came to us. The mother kept a slight distance, but the baby seemed curious, and kept hanging out at the side of the boat, just like this, and swimming around and under the boat.
I was completely blown away and kept thinking, “how on earth is this real?”

Cool concept of blog reader for iPad
Baleen is a concept for a blog reader app that, in addition to presenting blog content in an easy-to-digest way, would truly let the user interact with media. From from color-coding to socially integrated doodling to built-in MP3 playlisting, Baleen filters down the content into a flexible template that invites more tangible interactions.
This project was an exercise in creating a concept for an original iPad app (that hopefully isn’t out there yet) and in figuring out how to present that concept - in this case, via video mock-up
