Etzel von Gerhart liked the area. It was pretty, green, and held an ancient feel that made people feel like ants under the monument’s boot. Even those such as himself, who lived for centuries…a little circle of rocks was all it took to remind the vampire that there were things on this Earth older than the supernatural. A handful of these stones dated back to around 8,000 B.C., ten thousand years ago. Much older than him. And they would still stand after Etzel was long gone.
Although, if Etzel had his way, he would be around for quite some time.
