Recipe 2: Baba Ghanoush

Korean Baba Ghanoush

A basket of aubergines at a market (maybe 3 or 4)

A few cloves of garlic

A lemon (for lemon juice)

Sesame oil (참기름)

Salt and pepper

This has got to be the easiest thing ever. Koreans eat aubergines instead of the huge, round eggplants. Cut the aubergines into cubes. Salt them and let them air out for 30 minutes. Saute them lightly in olive oil or sesame oil. Then, as usual, put all ingredients into a blender and pulse. PULSE BABY, PULSE!

(Even though you used sesame oil to saute the aubergines, put some more into the blender. It will be an acceptable substitute for tahini.)

Voila. Fucking Baba Ghanoush!

Note: If you have a Paris Baguette near buy, they sell long baguettes. Buy one of the suckers and slice it up to eat with your BG. Enjoy!
