Sorry I’ve been almost completely absent! I’ve been working like a dog and shall continue to do so until my sister’s wedding on the 22nd. After that, it’s Christmas in no time, I’ve done no present shopping, and all the family is going to be at our house for a Chrissie dinner for 30 people or so and just.. I need to sleep for a week.

so, today at uni, i bumped into someone i hadn’t seen in 7 years. the thing is, they looked familiar, but i couldn’t spot where i knew them from. until she said..
“oh my gosh, no way! you look the exact same as you did in primary school! you haven’t changed one bit!”
ladies and gentlemen, that is a direct quote.
PRIMARY SCHOOL? that is quite literally seven years ago.
i am not emotionally prepared for an impromptu dress fitting tomorrow. it usually takes at least a week of warning to go in there, brave-faced and confident.
i also have to fill out an extensive questionnaire for the bone marrow registry before going to have my blood sample drawn, which requires personal answers i don’t care to give much (or frequent) thought to.
and it’s fudging hot! we’re in a horrid heatwave and i’ve worked every day of it so far.
.. just let me complain and weep into my empty mug because it’s too hot for a cuppa.
