I love this song.
And there’s people on medication,
All over this town.
For depression and anxiety,
They turned it around.
What did they do in the old days
When they were feeling obscure?
Did they drink themselves silly?
Or did they have their own cure?
Peeeeeoooooople
I have a hard time in the morning,
Getting up for work.
I’m not sure what it means,
But sometimes it hurts.
So many people do things,
That they would rather not do.
They drag themselves through life,
Like they have no choice: Do you?
Peeeeeoooopppleee
And there’s people with their mission,
All over this town.
With their vision and imprecision,
Gonna fill up their crown.
So many people just go and go.
They never stop.
Do they do it for glory,
or money, or what?
Peeeeooopllee x13

They turned it around.

Just so you know, all those Saves the Day listens were from the album In Reverie, which means I was not listening to them for nostalgia’s sake. If I were, I wouldn’t have listened to In Reverie because everyone who liked Saves the Day in 2003 decided that album sucked when it was released because it didn’t sound like their other albums. Now that I am 24 and am comfortable listening to things that are more blatantly pop, that album is my favorite of theirs. The other ones are for nostalgia only.
Also, these last.fm synced posts only seem to appear on weeks that I don’t listen to that much music. I still listen to a lot of music, everyone.

Bomb’s new album is finally out, and it’s great, and you can download it for free at Quote Unquote Records, so like, what are you waiting for? C’mon. Danny Brown is the Greatest Rapper Ever, Audrey Ryan you know at least one thing about now, Patton Oswalt is funny (I wanted to hear his stuff about how hippies ruined everything, ‘put stickers on albums’ and whatnot), and I still don’t know why Futurebirds doesn’t have a high-profile spot opening for My Morning Jacket or something, they’re really good.
Listen
this song is gamzee. omg.

Lady comedians continue to impress. I finally got ahold of some of Audrey Ryan’s other records - Dishes & Pills is especially awesome. The Narrator is dead but will live on in my music library, and those Shores songs are from when they played a short set at WMBR last weekend.
