Revelation
I was making coffee and happened to glance at the calendar on the wall. My eyes landed on the 5th of February, Runeberg’s day (he was a poet, wrote the lyrics to Finland’s national anthem among other things) and the name day for Asser. I had to stop and stare. Pentti Holappa’s Ystävän muotokuva (=portrait of a friend) is one of my all time favourite books and THE friend in the book is called Asser. OMG now I NEED to read the book again thinking of Asser as Runeberg or Asser as Ruberberg as symbol of writing or creating or art or… Someone MUST have written a paper on this!
