“Vinyl isn't a fad. Pokemon is a fad. neon colored clown vomit tshirts and way too much eyeliner is a fad. Vinyl is the longest running archival medium for music, and the most stable. CD's deteriorate after about 15 or so years, computer harddrives fail. I can still play my grandfathers 78's from the 30's just fine. mp3's are soulless, and disposable. There is beauty to the ritual of putting on a record, and flipping through the insert, or examining the nice big cover art while its playing. I can pretty much resell any record ive ever bought for what i paid for it... can't say that for cds, and cant get anything for mp3's. ”

Come On, Baby, Let's Do The Cringe

Here are the lyrics to our new song. The links go to you tube videos of the songs they reference.

Come on, Baby, Let’s do the Cringe
.

Every night I am walking around this room with my hands clasped tight, what am I like?

I’m sinking in my living room to rhythms that are never quite right.

What’s the lesson in these lines? I’m just cringing the night away.

Melodies don’t let me down.

They lie with me on the ground.

They tell me it’s okay to fall.
So drop the needle, start again.

How could I know when I was singing “End of The Line” at 12 years old that now I’d fold in two when I hear that song on the radio.

Trust your intuition” They’re words that I believe.

Now the songs I loved when I was young are starting to apply to me. *

Oh! Darling, I’m just cringing the night away, yeah, just cringing the night away.

Melodies don’t let me down.

They lie with me on the ground.

They tell me it’s okay to fall.

Take a deep, deep breath. ‘Cause nothing’s ever life or death.

Not by any stretch, please think of all that you have left.

How am I expected to grow? It’s all too cynical.
