im tired of seeing “hey are you gonna lower your commission prices” asks on… anywhere, anyone i know; while not a crime in itself, you should be respectful of what an artists deems their time worth; if you don’t agree, then don’t buy it

worse is when people get pissy about it

you are not fucking owed art, do not act entitled to prices that you want; artists can charge what they want because it is their time and their experience being poured into this for their style

if you’re one of those people who think you can just do it yourself, then go fucking do it yourself

do not bitch and moan about prices that were meant to stop shitheads like you from commissioning them, and let the people who give a crap about supporting the artist and just enjoying their work get all the commissions

no one is forcing you to buy it and if you can’t pay what an artist feels comfortable charging for that time and effort, then don’t, and shut the fuck up about it

we don’t need even more artists undervaluing their work because of outspoken assholes crying about how they can’t get a sketch for 3 dollars instead of 5
