Usually I do character sketches for my characters

But I’ve been inspired by photography lately.

I’ll likely still spend some time drawing all of the characters, though. There is just something so intimate about sketching people. I feel like it helps me grow closer to them as characters, so I can speak in their voice while writing them. 

Especially main characters. I drew Red a lot while I was writing Red and The Bomb. 

It just really helped me grasp his cockiness and innate, effortless, sexuality. And helped me learn to separate his voice from the bomb’s voice.

I didn’t draw Jack and August that much because their vocies were meant to sound kind of similar because they’ve known each other for so long. I wish I had so I could post some more of my art for you guys to see.

I think I’ll spend some time drawing rich tonight. I’ll put it up  later if I think its any good.
