Graveyard: My character will visit your characters grave
The wind atop the hill in the fire nation was cool, but strange and ominous. Happy, yet unhappy. Indifferent.
The little girls hands fumbled with a bouquet of beautiful flowers, and struggled to keep them from flying away with the wind. Her tiny fingers placed them on in front of a soft gravestone, that read “Ariana Koshima.” Aeden walked up behind the child slowly, kneeling down and placing his large hand on the little ones shoulder. The little girl looked up at him with a sad smile.
“What’s mommy doing now, papa?” he smirks, sitting down and placing the little girl in his lap, staring at the stone slab.
“I’m not sure. She’s probably watching us right now.” he says in a low tone. He winced as he remembered his promise he made to his wife as she was dying in her hospital bed. Just like his father, he’d promised to visit her every year on her birthday. He looks down at his daughter, Uriti, and grazes his fingers through her short soft hair. The 4 year old girl didn’t really know what death meant yet. He wouldn’t be able to explain her mothers death until she was older.
“Do you think mommy is happy?” Uriti asks, nothing but innocence and curiosity in her eyes. Aeden’s lip quivers, and tears begin to slowly stream down his cheeks.
“I sure hope so, sweetheart…” he wimpers, putting his hands over his eyes so his daughter wouldn’t see him cry. She turns around in his lap, and wipes the tears away, frowning.
“Don’t cry, papa! Mommy doesn’t like it when you cry, remember?” he nods slowly, but does not stop. He misses his wife so much, and he hated himself for letting her go so easily. He felt it was his fault that Uriti had to grow up without a mother. His daughter buries her head into her fathers chest, and hugs him as tightly as she could.
((Ow…owww…..agh my heart….why!?))
