Went to the state U arabidopsis lab and spent the whole day doing microscopy and observing lucipherase-sprayed seedlings in a darkroom
It was a more interesting field trip than expected, only now I have a terrible headache, we didn’t get to use the electron microscope because some asshole broke it before we got there, and I didn’t get to put any bugs under the light microscope.
Bummer because I like bugs better than plants.
Anyway, we were required to take a lot of pictures, so I’m now in possession of a lot of photos of biotech lab environments, processes, instruments, and a lot of lab greenhouse shots that are all weird and abandoned-looking and full of pipes and windows and twisted, dead plants.
I’m willing to put some of them up as stock or ref if anyone’s interested. The greenhouse ones in particular are pretty cool.
