Tye and Jaime's friendship.

In the series, there wasn’t much evidence to describe the type of friendship that Tye and Jaime had, at least to me. I mean I know they were really close friends but I’m kind of curious to know just how they acted around each other under more normal circumstances and what else they did together besides skaterboarding all over El Paso from time to time.

So here with this squiggle to back me up…

I have this head canon where Tye and Jaime’s relationship is basically a friendship consisting of Jaime being the responsible and compassionate compatriot that he is and Tye being the more lackadaisical and laid back one out of the two who enjoys nothing more than harassing and trolling the living daylights out of his best friend at every moment of the day.

And I could just picture moments in their time spent together where whenever Tye wanted something, he would make Jaime do it for him, even if it’s the simplest of things (like fetching him something to eat whenever he got hungry), he would completely annoy the heck out of Jaime until he got what he wanted. Even though he is more than capable of doing it himself, it was just more fun for Tye to tease his best friend into doing it for him because he loved his reactions and seeing his face whenever he made his request because Jaime’s expressions was one of the things that amused Tye about him.

And Jaime of course would get super agitated by Tye’s laziness which would then cause them to fight and bicker between each other like an old married couple but as always, Tye would get his way and Jaime would just do what he wanted him to do just to shut him up. And this is what their friendship was mostly based on, among other things.

From the outside looking in, Jaime and Tye probably seemed like two average skater boys but the reality was they were two best friends who, even though they annoyed the crap out of each other from time to time (Tye mostly) and fight like two old men, their friendship was stronger than most marriages and if push came to shove, they would do anything to help the other because they were bros.

I know the basis of Tye and Jaime’s friendship had a more serious tone in the series (y’know with Tye’s family problems and all that) but I’d like to think or at least hope that there were a lot more silly goofy happy times too amongst the fray and that the two shared alot of joyful memories together despite everything else, y’know.

P.S
I honestly wished that the Tye and Jaime friendship was more popular on the YJ tag. All around, the most I see is Bluepulse drawings and while that’s great and all that, I would really also like if the Tye and Jaime friendship was just as popular too ^^;

Am I the only one who’s looking forward to Apache Chief on YJ? Like, yeah, man, haven’t heard from you since the sixties!

(Also, I love Native American superheroes.) But seriously, can’t wait for Tai! (and Static)

Like/Reblog if you're a fan of Tye Longshadow formally known as Apache Chief from Young Justice Invasion

I’m not gonna lie. In the past few episodes, this guy has strangely earned a worthy place in my fan girl heart. So just out of curiosity, how many people actually like this character and like myself, are looking forward to the episode where we get to see him in action as a member of the Runaways?

Can you say “Eh-neeek-chock!”
