Tanner Dobson's Podcasts
As many of you know, a couple of years ago for my MFA thesis I did a project using a series of podcasts recorded under the alias Tanner Dobson. They covered a variety of topics that were either being discussed at that time in the media or are of general political interest in the US. Tanner is a fuckface conservative and the shows are out of control. Except for a musical sample here and there and some of the ridiculous canned sounds in Garageband, everything on the show was generated by me.
I’ve uploaded some of my favorites to a Dropbox account so that you can download them and jam them on your iTunes. If you’re taking a road trip soon, they’re pretty entertaining to pass the time.
The Color Wheel - examining racism in America
Mexican Police Flu - exploring the H1N1 virus (Mexican Swine Flu)
Boo! - discussing the relationships between corporations and terrorism
The Somali Black Pearl - covering the kidnapping of Richard Phillips by Somali pirates
The Money Shot - looking at the beginning of the economic downturn
If these radio programs don’t tide you over, you can always keep up to date on Tanner’s ramblings on his blog, www.tannerdobson.com.
