—Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf (published May 14, 1925)
Today’s a good day to correct with red ink or buy flowers yourself… or re-visit an old classic like Mrs. Dalloway. Or if you’d like to learn more about the inimitable author, visit the Library’s Berg Collection, which is a lovely spot to learn a great deal about English and American Literature. In any event, have a perfectly Dalloway day!

// ☼ Well, today marks it!! The long-anticipated fifth of May, otherwise known as Cinco de Mayo or more importantly to her, the first year anniversary of her and Len’s relationship. Their first ever. Wasn’t that just a swell little thought? It’d been a little over two weeks since they’d last spoken to each other, but ever since she approached him today, it seemed as if things had been…
normal.
Rin actually wasn’t too sure what to make of it. Everything was the same as ever. No difference in his behavior, no invitation for a date or any surprises. Two weeks apart was one thing, but with their anniversary just around the corner and all… shouldn’t their meeting have been a little something more special? L-Like in the movies…! Or something. How after a set amount of time apart and a big reunion date, the guy would have a huge thing all planned out and would greet her with flowers or something or try to surprise her. Or, or how she would see him at the end of a trail of candies (or was it something else?) and jump into his arms from sheer joy? Something, anything that would have shown her what she did was worth it and that today was important!
Only there wasn’t anything. When she’d asked him if he had anything for today, he seemed to stall on the answer and shied away from it, saying they could do whatever she wanted to do. …It was a bit disheartening. Wasn’t she worth more than a last-minute plan? Len felt unprepared for this date and it left her feeling uneasy and a bit insignificant. Had she left her expectations too high for him again? Rin had been busy with her social links, but she’d had a plan to fall back on in case this happened. So she wouldn’t give up! If he didn’t want to do anything, she still did! So then, she emerged from her room dressed up in a loose, yellow blouse and white shorts; brown accessories and woven sandals included, and tugged on his arm so he’d get off the bed.

May 13, the day of "Formula 1"
The May 13, 1950 was held the first F1 Grand Prix in Britain. I think all F1 fans should consider that day how the day of “Formula 1”. This year marks 63 years of existence of the sport we love. My idea is that on Monday 13, blogs who want us to get in the avatar picture the image below:
