you know it really does baffle me how anyone can abuse an animal, like i cant even step on my dog’s paw without freaking out and hugging and petting her and reassuring that i love her and giving her like all the treats in the world yet some people can just emotionlessly cut, abuse, or shoot and animal with no reason behind it other than further proving they’re a piece of shit
I am totally in agreement with people who say that meticulous dog breeding to produce kennel club approved show-ready pedigrees is as bad as dog fighting. We have a German Shepherd rescue near us so every so often you see people walking those shepherds that have hip issues from people breeding for that coveted sloping leg and they can barely walk and it is the saddest thing
One of my friends was saying dogs shouldn’t be able to win shows if the animal is physically incapable of doing the job the breed was created for, just to keep people from celebrating and passing on these horrible, painful deformities.
