My Chemical Romance has released the second set of their Conventional Weapons project. So far, each release makes it puzzling as to how they only ended up as B-sides to Danger Days: The True Lives of Fabulous Killjoys. “Ambulance” embodies that of the rock orchestra that the group constructed in The Black Parade. With a powerful choir introduction that carries through to the chorus, the theatrical side of the band becomes polished by Gerard Way’s impassioned vocals and glitzy guitars. The quartet went more Queen than punk on this one, and it pays off tremendously. It’s a play piece to the dysfunctional circus aspect that the band displays often and is a true gem in the pile of unreleased material.
