Aluna Francis and George Reid (aka AlunaGeorge) are a London duo that has recently been heavily played on my rotation. They can be compared to “Purity Ring” but nah, AlunaGeorge has a unique sound that just sucks you in. Aluna’s vocals give you that soft bright harmony that is meshed with the blips of synth sounds, slow rhythmic R&B sounds, and underlying hip hop beats. All while simultaneously holding your ears to hear it again. Give “Watching Over You” a listen and you’ll be bound to hit that play button one more time.
