Misperception of sorority life

I hate how people say things like “you are forced to be friends with them” or “I would hate to have pretend to get along with everyone”

Truth is, no one forces you to do anything in a sorority…you don’t have to be besties with everyone in your house…hell some even have only 2 or 3 close friends in a house (do I recommend that, no…but it happens). You can drop a house any time you want…once you become a member you don’t have to STAY a member. You are there by choice. I care about these girls, by choice. I love these girls, by choice. I would do anything for these girls BY CHOICE. If I hated it why the hell would I be in it? If I didn’t get along with them, why would I stay? It would be pointless, useless, a waste of money, a waste of my time and effort, a waste of my life….

But it’s NOT. I love my sisters with my whole heart. I may not be besties with all of them but I am honest and sincere about being for any one of them 100% if they needed me.
