Olympics - London 2012 - My Day Four Highlights
I got incredibly lucky and bought a ticket for the Olympics at Wimbledon last minute. My seat was on the seventh row of Centre Court. In the first match Venus Williams thrashed Aleksandra Wozniak and then Andy Murray comfortably beat Jarkko Nieminen. It was the first time I had seen Murray in Britain and the atmosphere was great. In the next match Novak Djokovic thrashed Andy Roddick. Brit Laura Robson put up a great fight in her match before losing to Maria Sharapova. Unfortunately all these matches were very one-sided but because they were short David Ferrer’s match got moved onto Centre and I stayed for the first set as he cruised past Blaz Kavcic. I finished the day on the outside courts to see the final set between Feliciano Lopez and Juan Monaco and some of a marathon doubles match involving Tomas Berdych and Radek Stepanek. It was an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime day as the Olympics may not be back in London for a very long time.
