today is the day I get to walk through our completed house. [ah!] I woke up this morning with butterflies in my stomach not to mention, I’ve been checking the clock a little too often hoping it says 3:00p. you know what they say? a watch clock, never changes. [they say that right?].

It is setting in just how important this is, b and I will own a slice of this city that we’ve come to love. own it, as in it. is. ours! and it is designed to our likes. an opportunity that doesn’t come around often to first time home buyers.

when we first started house hunting, we knew we wanted a house with character. something that had history. I’ve never been one to like a newly built home, or one that looks like my neighbors. I like originality, and a home that if the walls could speak, would tell a hundred stories of owners past. so when we found this home - I knew it was mine from the moment I walked in. just knowing that all of the character would remain but with modern updates, where do I sign?

so today when I walk through the door [my door!] and see all of my visions come to reality, I might scream. or kiss the hardwoods, hug the stairwell, skip through the dining room …oh, is it 3pm yet?
