Hello!
Tumblr is where tens of millions of creative people around the world share and follow the things they love.
Sign up to find more cool stuff to followI see the problematic nature of the term “straight-acting,” because it is an inherently homophobic/negative term.
But at the same time, I don’t think it’s fair to criticize someone for a personal preference. If you’re attracted to a certain type of guys, you just are— regardless of whether that’s intrinsic or shaped by social factors. And it’s just as wrong to attack someone for being attracted to more stereotypically masculine guys as it is to attack someone for not fitting the stereotypes of masculinity. Both are [mostly] outside the individual’s control.
That being said, feel free to disagree with me. I’m curious to know what y’all think and why you think it.
Hi socialvasectomy. I saw your comment on the latest strips I posted (which I've just pulled down). I received a lot of messages in the last hour in regards to that strip. Is it possible I could have your email so I could send you a message to clarify what I feel was a misinterpretation of the strip? (I would send here, but can't fit the whole message in). I understand if not, but I would love to discuss the strip with you further. Thank you
I’m not interested in hearing your explanation because there isn’t much more to discuss. Quite a few of your comics are particularly problematic but this recent one is the worst yet. I suppose the next comic will have the character saying someone is attractive for a black guy. Thanks for excluding the black community from your comic by perceiving their advances as undesirable and farcical.
