Big has both 「おおきい」 (i-adjective) and 「おおきな」 (na-adjective) forms; like "small" has both 「ちいさい」 and 「ちいさな」. There is a tendency to use 「おおきな」 and 「ちいさな」 in a subjective sense or with abstract concepts. While 「おおきい」 and 「ちいさい」 often goes with physical, factual things.
