Adam Wainwright's Power Foods
After eating his customary peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich to keep his strength up during a start earlier this week, Adam Wainwright decided to fill us in on the other food products he uses to keep himself powered up.

Lunchables - ”You know, when I’m feeling down and all, sometimes I’ll open up a Lunchable so that I can feel like a big and powerful giant. Hey ham, you’re so tiny. Why are you so tiny, ham?”

Dunkaroos - ”This is good for when your blood sugar is dipping and you need to power back up. Plus, it has the word “dunk” in the name, so it’s for keeping you athleticy. Athleticy, that’s a word, right?”

Spicy Chicken Patty - ”For the cold weather starts. Keeps your blood pumping.”

Honey Bun - ”We’re not allowed to use pine tar on the mound, but there’s no rule about having honey bun on your hands. And let me tell you, that stuff’s stiiiicky.”

Cool Ranch Doritos - ”I like to visualize the strike zone as one giant Dorito chip. And don’t talk to me about Nacho flavor, that stuff is whack. I like to pretend that the mound is my own personal Cool Ranch.”

Chocolate Milk - ”I just like it. It’s better than regular milk because it has chocolate.”
“I hang on every pitch. I feel like a fan again. If I miss part of a game on TV, I'll go back and rewind the DVR. I love baseball. I really, really love it. Being away from something you love that much, it makes you yearn to want to play it more.”
