10 must have cydia apps for iOS 4.0+

This is a list of 10 MUST HAVE cydia apps, tweaks and so on.

1. Scrollingboard
   Is a app that lets you break the 4 app limit of your dock and now have up to 10 apps on your dock + you will have scrolling and pages on the dock for even more apps (UNLIMITED!)
2. FolderEnhancer
   Is a pretty smart tweak that breaks the 16 apps for folders, and now sets it to UNLIMITED!
   Get pages, scrolling, fullscreen folder and folders inside folders!.
   Which means: have all your apps in one folder if wanted, there is no limit, your fantasy is setting the limit
3. Appsync *
   Do you want free apps from etc: Apptrackr?, downloaded from your PC/MAC, but you can’t sync them to your iDevice because you haven’t paid for it?
   Now!, get Appsync and you will be able to sync all your apps, paid or not

4. Activator
   Do you think shaking your device, double pressing home, or anything would be cool if it started an app, play/paused music, or something else?
   Activator have 100 possibility’s and you can DOWNLOAD more!
5. Action menu
   The copy/cut/paste/select all, magnify menu right now is cool by itself, but imagine having 20+ new functions like: search, wikipedia, shorten url, translate, post, to top, and so on? this is now possible
6. All sources
   This download describes itself, but what this does is that it gives you like 100 new sources to cydia, not all but the most recommended
7. Freesync
   Tired of having a locked device while syncing?, download Freesync and text, browse, share, tweet, listen to music while syncing with iTunes.
8. iFile
   This app is a must-have file manager app for your iOS, and with OpenSSH you will be able to import files from PC/MAC—>iDevice and iDevice—>PC/MAC 
   Edit, view, share files and much more.
9. SBRotator *
   This app will not only allow you to rotate your springboard(iDevice homescreen) in all four directions, but also allows you to rotate a lot more apps 360 degrees.
10. Iconrenamer
    Tired of apps on your beautiful springboard called etc.: Flashlight Lite 2.1.1.2, and you want to rename them but can’t?
    Iconrenamer will allow you to change the name of ALL apps on your springboard, also Apple default apps.

I am excited to have been chosen to be part of the Infomation Highway, a mentoring scheme for artists in the East region, as part of the Activator programme run by New Work Network. I will be mentored by the artist Rachel Wilberforce, which is a wonderful opportunity.

Change

There is a desire among many to hide emotions or to pretend that emotions don’t rule their world. Despite their best efforts the ability to be rational and not allow emotions to govern their choices is a myth. There is vulnerability in showing emotions, so our basic animal instinct for survival will continue to lead us to believe that by not showing these emotions we are stronger. But in fact, it is contradictory, because you are hiding your emotions in fear of weakness and this in itself is an emotion (one that you might not always show but certainly feel).

It is without doubt that over the course of one’s life one experiences change or changes at some point. The title of this post is “change” and what it excludes is changes beyond your control. It excludes changes that are unavoidable and often necessary to perhaps progress in this reality.  Such changes include things like a new car, a new house, a birth or a death and so on.

The subject of this topic is you changing. It is that one big change that sculpts the person you become from that point onwards. If you haven’t yet made, or noticed, such a change in yourself then you probably have yet to make it. But don’t worry, everyone changes. And this change is bought about by two factors, two people; the imitator and the activator.

The imitator will present themself at any point in your life. The imitator can be real or fiction. The imitator can be either one of your parents, a sibling, a friend, a teacher, a co-worker or even just a character in your favourite book or movie. The imitator can even be someone you have imagined (the imaginary friend). The change bought about by the imitator is a slow change, and it evolves over time. What this change does is aligns your behaviour with the imitator’s. That is to the say that you slowly become them. You talk like them, you act like them and you begin to live your life like them. But the imitator does not know he is causing such a change. The change is so powerful that you begin to explain your actions by finding similarities in the imitator’s life or persona. The change bought about by the imitator can occur before or after the activator’s change. What it ultimately decides is who you are going to base your life around. They become your mentor, the person you most closely resemble and because you find solace in this way of life.

The activator, they are like no other in your life. They too can present themselves at any point in your life but they cannot be imaginary. They are usually someone you know very well and, you only experience one of two emotions towards them, love or hate. The activator’s change is not slow like the imitator’s – it is often one action or a set of similar actions by the activator that cause the change. The activator can know or not know they have caused such a change. But this much is certain; they are by far the biggest impact in your life. They are the ‘big bang’ in your universe.  The activator unleashes what is hidden inside of you, something that was always there.

Often the change will result in you running away from the activator. But there are also activator’s you chose to stay with. Neither of these actions is governed by your feelings towards the activator but they are as a result of the change they caused in you. And you don’t really change the way you feel about them either. If you always loved them or hated them, then you will continue to do so but with new intensity and perhaps even appreciation of the power they had over you.

An example to understand this is a young girl who was beaten by her father for years. But as she grew older, she began to liver her life like the pop-star on TV (who had suffered similar abuse as a child). But she compensated for her difficulties at home by being friendly and caring towards others. She was very lovable and people cared about her. Until one day, suddenly the actions of her father resulted in a change. The girl then left her father forever but she also changed everything she was. She no longer trusts anyone or wants to be with anyone.  She believes in justice and punishment. She is not forgiving or compassionate. In this case, the pop-star was her imitator and her father the activator.  

My imitator is a fictitious character. My activator is very real. I know those who changed me. I just did not know what I was capable of.
