A pint-sized 94-year-old didn’t hesitate when fire threatened her Florida retirement community. Rose Swiszowski was walking home when she spotted the flames just a few doors away from her apartment at St. Frances Manor in Vero Beach. “I saw the blaze, and it was all burning like a big bonfire,” she told WPEC 12 News in West Palm Beach. “I said, ‘Help! There’s a fire out here!’” Neighbors called 911 while Swiszowski - a 4-foot-7 Detroit native whose son-in-law and grandson are firefighters -  raced into her unit and retrieved a pitcher of water and a large cup of flour. “Rosie saved the day as usual,” neighbor Dolores Mercury told the Miami Herald. “She’s always there for anyone.” (NYDailyNews.com)
